For in You Hashem I hoped You will answer Hashem my G-d.
(Tehillim 38:16)
כי לך ה' הוחלתי אתה תענה ה' אלוקי
(תהילים לח טז)
I had just gone on a 4 month skating trip across America . It was very challenging. Not so much the physical challenge, and just living off some fruits and vegetables during the week but the entire lifestyle. Being on the road all day, not having much distraction.. just me, G-d and the road ahead… and when I could no longer go on I fell asleep under the stars...
Many things that we take for granted, that we have lost sensitivity to, have become so treasured… so special! There are no words to describe the taste of a sweet apple, water to quench my thirst while skating in the unbearable hot deserts… discovering a cool swimming hole and refreshing myself, a warm blanket and bed after getting rained out for hours in a cold rainy night… and.. . Oh and the sweet surprises Hashem sent…It was an amazing experience!
Rosh Hashana was coming up and I wanted to spend Yomim Tovim with my family in Israel. I was quite anxious to go to Israel. On the airplane as I was saying Tehillim and I got to the words Ki Lecha Hashem Hocholti Ata … for in you Hashem I hoped You will answer me Hashem my G-d, I composed this song. A Thank you prayer for the past and a prayer for the future that all goes well. There should be peace amongst each other, peace in Israel and in the entire world.
May Hashem answer all our prayers and send us the sweetest message - Moshiach and Geula Shleimah complete redemption B'B'A – very soon in our days!
